Events

This bank holiday weekend sees our 60th Anniversary reunion taking place on Sunday in J.F. Kennedy Park and the K.G.K. Hall and the Shamrock Inn, Knockanore. The schedule of events will be as follows; 11.15am, Mass for deceased members in Knockanore church, 2pm in the hurling field, U-14 hurling match Cois Bhride v. Killeagh for the Tobin Cup, 3.30pm- presentation of county medals for Shamrock Ladies Football U-12 and U-14 teams that won county finals recently, 4pm approx, unveiling of tree and plaque in memory of Billy O’ Keeffe who did such work in the clubhouse and field over the years.

Later that evening then, the K.G.K. Hall will host the photographic exhibition where people can meet and mix until 8pm when we hope to be sitting down for a meal. We have a couple of presentations to make, and we are also hoping to launch our website then also. After that there will be music and craic in the Shamrock Inn which we hope will be enjoyed by all as the following day is a Bank Holiday. We’re looking forward to a great weekend and hopefully many of our past and present members will be in attendance to round off the ‘Year of the Gathering’ in style.
