Hurling League
Shamrocks 0:13 Brickey Rangers 0:24
Shamrocks Intermediate hurlers took on Brickey Rangers on Friday short of a number of regular starters.
The first half was very evenly matched with both teams exchanging scores, Shamrocks early scores coming from Billy and Eddie Hynes. These were added to by Edward LOnergan and Sean Meany and Padraig Hynes adding four from frees. Brickey Rangers opened a two point lead before half time leaving the half time score at Shamrocks 0:08 Brickey Rangers 0:10.
The second half got underway with two early long range points from Adam Crawford but Brickeys were starting to pull away at this point and worked their scores well. Padraig Hynes added three more scores from frees for Shamrocks in the second half but even though Shamrocks battled until the final whistle Brickeys finished stronger winning on a scoreline of Shamrocks 0:13 Brickey Rangers 0:24
