Lotto

Numbers drawn on Monday 19th April were 3, 4, 7 and 28. There was no jackpot winner (€5,250.) €20 draw winners: Pat O’ Neill, Kitty O’ Callaghan, Mary Murphy, Michael Delaney and Tom Leahy (online.) Next week’s jackpot is €5,400 and the draw will be on Monday  12th April. Lotto tickets are on sale from promoters and online. AGM

Shamrocks AGM took place online  last Friday night 16th April there were 45 members logged in for the meeting.  The minutes of the 2019 AGM were read by Padraig Tobin.  Thomas Baldwin gave the  Treasurer’s report.   Padraig Tobin and Eamon Lonergan then followed with the Secretary’s and Chairman’s reports reflecting on the tough year that was the first year of the pandemic, it was also a year where a number of prominent members, including two Vice-Presidents, in the club passed away.   On the playing fields there were a lot of positives for the clubs highlighted by both Padraig and Eamon.   The highlight of the year was winning the Western Junior Football Championship for the third year in a row. The intermediate hurlers had a good run in the Western Championship losing out to Ballyduff Upper after extra time.  The idea of introducing the Club Force App to the club early last year was also praised and thanks to Thomas Goulding for all his work in running the app for the club. A letter from the Dalton Family was read out thanking the club for their support over the past few months since Mark’s accident in December. 

The following officers were elected for 2021 President: Father Condon. Vice-Presidents: Edmund Murphy, Dick Foley, Larry McGrath, Battie McGrath, Tommy Geary, Frank Corcoran, Jim Nicholsan,  Noel Tobin, Gerry Morrison, Paddy Geary, John Baldwin, Tom O’Donovan, Liam Ahearn, James Tobin, Anne O’ Keefe and Mary Tobin.

Assistant-Treasurer: Cathal Herlihy. PRO:Sean Murphy.  Children’s Welfare Officer: Frank Roche. First Aid: Tim Lenihan and Thomas Goulding. Club Texts: John O’Donovan. 

The outgoing Junior Football management team of Noel Crowley, Dan Casey, Seamus Tobin and Declan Butler were thanked for all their work in helping to guide the club win 3 Western Championships in a row.  Hurling Management for Intermediate Pat Walsh, Dan Casey,  John O’ Donovan and Peter Morrisson.  The Junior C hurling management team will be appointed in the coming weeks.

Thank you to outgoing officers Eamon Lonergan, Padraig Tobin and Anne O’ Keefe for all their work on behalf of the club during the year.
