New Sponsors Jersey Presentation
A group of 22 local dairy farmers came together to sponsor Shamrocks GAA club. This is a unique and novel partnership to highlight the contribution that both the GAA and dairy farming make to their communities across the length and breadth of Ireland. Their aim is to highlight all the good work being done on dairy farms in Ireland environmentally. Also to show the nutritional and health benefits of a diet containing dairy and the major contribution that it makes socially and financially to rural Ireland. In conjunction with the National Dairy Council they developed a “Sustainable Dairy” logo for the jersey. This logo is available to other clubs and could possibly be the start of a wider movement. This is a five year sponsorship deal and in year one of the Shamrocks GAA club men’s team will receive a home and away set of jerseys, Shamrocks LGFA club will also receive a home and away set of jerseys and every pupil in the local Knockanore National school will receive a free replica Shamrocks jersey.
