Ballyduff Lower v Shamrocks
Shamrocks travelled to Ballyduff Lower on Saturday for a 7pm throw in. Shamrocks got off
to a great start, after 15 mins the score was 1-07 to 3 points, the goal coming from Ed
Hynes. Paidi Hynes, Shane Roche and Cathal Herlihy added points to keep Shamrocks ahead
at halftime 1-10 to 7 points.
In the second half, 1-5 without reply saw Shamrocks take control of the game, the goal again
coming from Ed Hynes who would add a third later in the game. Kieran Crawford had a
flurry of points to add to Ed Lonergan’s point to put the game out of the reach of Ballyduff.
The back line were solid throughout and held the Home team to just 3 points in the second
half. In the closing minutes John Donovan made a great save to keep his clean sheet for the
night.
The final score was Shamrocks 3-19 Ballyduff 0-10
