Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship

Our Hurlers suffered defeat in their County Quarter Final against Cappoquin/Affane/Tourin last Friday evening in Lismore. This brings an end to our hurling season for 2025. We would like to thank all our supporters who travelled to matches for the last few weeks to show their support for the lads. A big thank you to the management team of Martin Delaney, Sean Crowley, Padraig O'Sullivan and Kieran O'Keeffe for their hard work throughout the year and making sure no stone was left unturned in the preparation of the team for matches. Above all thank you to the players who showed great commitment all year. Eventhough our year is over sooner than we had hoped, we can look back with satisfaction with the improvement of the level of performance given by the team throughout the year and also winning silverware in the league.

Club Sponsorship

Many thanks to Helen Murphy of Helen's Home Catering and the Hynes family for sponsoring sliotars ahead of our recent championship matches. As always any sponsorship and support is most appreciated.

KGK Development

Now that we have two fine community facilities in place at Knockanore, we are putting together a group of people who will commit to being on a rota to complete a spot check of the astroturf and walkway.
Spot checks will be weekly and if we have enough names, each person will be scheduled to do a check no more than every 5th or 6th week.
A spot check will involve checking for rubbish, debris, dog-poo, safety issues, fencing, netting, etc and then taking a few photos and reporting it back to the Maintenance WhatsApp Group.
A call will then be put out to all groups and users to get volunteers to help with cleaning, mowing , fixing etc. as needs to be done.
Please note, this is a public call to all people in the KGK area, and all help is welcome. If you would like to be added to the maintenance WhatsApp group, please text Monica on 086 601 24 79
Feel free to share and Thank you

Dubs appoint Ger Brennan.

Congratulations to Ger Brennan on becoming manager of the Dublin Senior Footballers for the 2026 season. Ger has a strong connection with the club as he is brother in law with club stalwart Ed Lonergan. Hopefully that training session that Ger took with our Junior Footballers a few seasons ago will stand to him as he aims to bring Sam back to the capital.

Wedding Bells.

Congratulations to John Anthony Kelly and his wife Victoria who tied the knot last weekend. Everyone in the club would like to wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

Everyone in the club would like to extend our sympathies to the family, friends and Ballysaggart GAA on the recent passing of Adrian Bobo Meagher. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
