Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship.

Our hurlers suffered defeat in our first round championship game against the Brickeys at a sundrenched Lismore Venue on Sunday. The first half was a tight affair with both teams trading score for score. At half time we were down by two points, but were very unfortunate not to be at least level at break. As the saying goes, hurling is a game of two halves, and that was very much the case in this game. Brickeys showed their senior experience from last year, and their level of skill and execution was clearly evident in the second 30 minutes, where they ended up as convincing and deserving winners. As always with our group of players, they battled valiantly to the very end. Even though defeated, we were able to leave the game with positives but also knowing plenty to improve on for the remaining games.

Our next game is down for this Sunday in Lismore again against Affane/Cappoquin/Tourin at 1pm
