Lotto

Numbers drawn on Monday 16th August 2021were 8, 11, 14, 24.   There was no jackpot winner (€7,800) €20 draw winners:  Paula Hogan (On Line), Tom Hickey Jnr (On Line), John Lyons, Michael Collins, Paddy Geary.  

Next week’s jackpot is €7,950 and the draw will be on Monday  23rd August. Lotto tickets are on sale from promoters and online. We would especially encourage people to use the online facility during Covid restrictions.  Online tickets are available from the Club Force app (Shamrocks GAA club Waterford) to play the lotto, there is also a link ( https://play.clubforce.com/play_newa.asp?ll_id=1902#Anchor )to the club force app on Shamrocks website. Junior Hurling 

Our Junior Hurlers traveled to Modeligo on Friday night to take on Modeligo. In what was an evenly matched contest we came up short on a scoreline of 2:15 to 1:15. Shamrocks started well before conceding a  goal before half time leaving thescore 1:08 to 0:11 at half time. The sending off of Shamrocks centre back Thomas O’ Neill shortly after half time for a second yellow card had a big impact on the game with Modeligo almost immediately opening up a 6 point lead. Shamrocks battled back to within a point helped by a goal from Cathal Herlihy but Modeligo again opened the gap to three points. Shamrocks Battle To the end but were unable to  breach the Modeligo defence. Scorers Jamie Murphy 0:08 Cathal Herlihy 1:02′ Kelvin O’ Farrell 0:02, Bernie Kelliher, Tommy O’ Donovan, Liam Murphy 0:01 each.

Fixtures

Next Sunday 22nd August is a busy day for the club with the  Intermediate Hurlers first in action at 1pm in Cappoquin Vs Modeligo. 

The Junior Hurlers will be in action at 7pm Vs Clashmore in Clashmore. 

Due to current restrictions both games will be all tickets which have to be purchased in advance the club will send out a link to members when we receive it.
