Lotto

Numbers drawn on Monday 23rd August 2021 were  2,15,21,26 There was no jackpot winner (€7,950) €20 draw winners:  Una Geary, Mary Murphy, The Hogan Grandchildren, Tom Leahy, T McSweeney  

Next week’s jackpot is €8,100 and the draw will be on Monday  30th August. Lotto tickets are on sale from promoters and online. Intermediate Hurling Championship:

Our Intermediate Hurlers were out in the first round of Championship on Sunday against Modeligo. Unfortunately we lost out on a scoreline of Modeligo 2:20 Shamrocks 1:19. 

Having started the better, Shamrocks opened an early lead with two points each from Colm Roche and JP Lucey. With ten minutes on the clock Colm Roche was taken out with a late tackle receiving a dead leg  Colm struggled until half time but was limping heavily taking him out of the game. Nevertheless Shamrocks continued to dominate until the first water break. Modeligo then got in to the game with a few points from Colm Padraig Hynes JP Lucey and a well taken goal from Ciaran Crawford giving Shamrocks a halftime score of 1:11 to 1:09 with the Modeligo goal coming from a long ball that was batted out and subsequently bundled to the net by the Modeligo. 

Modeligo started the second half better and clawed back the Shamrocks lead early and then opened up their own lead which they kept to the end.  Shamrocks tried to the end but were unable to overtake Modeligo second half points were scored by Padraig Hynes 4 Tom Dalton 2 Shane Roche and Ciaran Crawford oneeach. Final score  Modeligo 2:20 Shamrocks 1:19.
