Premier Intermediate Hurling Semi Final 

Shamrocks Vs Ferrybank  Saturday 02/09/2023 Fraher Field at 15:30 

Shamrocks started. This game with two early frees from Paudie Hynes. Ferrybank reply to point from play Edward Lonergan got Shamrocks next point from play. Ferrybank then got the next three scores two coming from frees. Colm Roche added the next point for the Shamrocks from play but Ferrybank responded with a point from play. Paudi Hynes from Free and Colm Roche, from play added the next two scores for the Shamrocks. Shamrocks had a goal disallowed for an alleged throw ball in the buildup. Ferrybank added another free before Edward Lonergan added a well taken goal for the Shamrocks on 24 minutes. Ferrybank responded with a point from play Paudi Hynes added another free for Shamrocks and another fine point from Colm Roche Extended the Shamrocks lead. Ferrybank scored another point from play. Paudi Hynes added two Frees for the Shamrocks to give a 4 point lead at halftime Shamrocks 1-09 Ferrybank 0-08

Paudie Hynes added a free for Shamrocks straight after half-time, but Ferrybank added the next three scores eating into the Shamrocks lead. Again Paudi Hynes added another point for the Shamrocks, but Ferrybank responded with three points. Paudie Hynes again from a placed ball scored the next Shamrocks score. Ferrybank then responded with two points before Paudi Hynes added five points from frees to two from Ferrybank during the same period giving Shamrocks a three point lead with two minutes of normal time remaining. A long ball into the square broke between two players and the Ferrybank player got a lucky connection as he was falling to find the net. Shamrocks regained the lead through Paudi Hynes before Ferrybank again levelled. Tom Dalton then put Shamrocks ahead but a free for Ferrybank brought the game to extra time.

Shamrocks again started well with two points from Colm Roche and Stephen Lucey but Ferrybank replied with two frees to have the game level at half time of extra time. Ferrybank grabbed the advantage after the break to go one up but a Paudi Hynes free brought Shamrocks back level.
With tired bodies all over the field Shamrocks conceded three soft frees in stoppage time which Ferrybank converted to see them victorious on a score line of Shamrocks 1-20 Ferrybank 1-23.
