Club Notes – 8th December 2013

Club Lotto.
The numbers drawn in last Saturday’s lotto were 3-5-8-25 and there was no winner. €20 winners were Jimmie, Carmel Baldwin, Paddy Greenslade, Liam Casey, Dan Walsh. Next week’s jackpot will be €13,750.

Ballysaggart are Munster Champions.
Our heartiest congratulations go out to the men from Ballysaggart who made history last Sunday by becoming the first Junior Hurling club from Waterford to win a Munster Final. Their ability to score goals has won them games right throughout this year, and 3 goals on Sunday once again proved match winners for them. Stephen Bennett was again their scorer-in-chief with 1-8, brother Shane weighed in with 1-1, and they are getting better with each match. What an achievement for these men from the West. Just two more hurdles to jump and ye are All-Ireland champions lads….

Our best wishes for a speedy recovery go to club stalwart Batty McGrath who is recovering from an operation at the moment. It was a long time coming, Batty, so get well soon from all at the club.

This Friday night Cumann LuthCleas Gael na Seamroga holds it’s 60th A.G.M in the Shamrock Inn, starting at 8pm. All members and players are asked to attend where a summary of the year will be discussed and dissected, and plans for the New Year unveiled. New members are also welcome.
