Next week’s jackpot is €8,550 and the draw will be on Monday 20th September 2021. Lotto tickets are on sale from promoters and online. We would especially encourage people to use the online facility during Covid restrictions. Intermediate Hurling Championship:
Our Intermediate Hurlers played the third round of the Championship on Sunday against Stradbally. With the injuries mounting up and illness Shamrocks started this game with five players unavailable for selection.
In the first quarter Stradbally opened a three point lead 0:05 to 0:02 at the first water break with the Shamrocks two points coming from two Colm Roche frees.
In the second quarter Stradbally continued to extend their lead with the half time score of 0:11 to 0:05 with JP Lucey scoring two points and Padraig Hynes one for Shamrocks.
After the halftime break Shamrocks rallied and picked off some great score closing the gap to four points at the second water break 0:15 to 0:11 two points coming from Padraig Hynes and each from Liam Motherway, JP Lucey, Colm Roach and Edward O’ Neill.
Stradbally again added to the score line early on in the final quarter scoring three unanswered points the Hynes brothers Edward and Padraig 3 close the gap to a goal with time up Stradbally again added two points which were answered by two points from Colm Roche and Padraib Hynes with the game well into injury time Shamrocks pressed for a goal but were unable to breach the Stradbally Goal. The final score Stradbally 0:20 Shamrocks 0:17.

This result now means we face Ardmore in a relegation playoff in two weeks time.
Junior Hurling Semi Final Shamrocks Vs Old Parish Sunday 19th September at 1pm in Bushy Park. Tickets have to be purchased beforehand for this game. Please come along and support the team.
